For the reinvention of the UQAM library in Montréal, this cube brings material together with a shifting use, to help students at every level discover a space with character. The system fits into the existing structure and recomposes itself by the moment: to sit down, to talk, to show the news of a school of more than forty thousand students.

Shelving, seat, partition: each module stands on its own or joins the others by stacking. A wide central opening holds the books; welded grilles, taken up at a larger scale on the sides, leave room for the subjects students are working on.

The plywood reinforcement of the trays lets the cubes be moved and lets everyone settle in as they like, drawing a route that never stops changing.
