Built in 1980, this flat is treated as an atmosphere in its own right, the extension of a shared way of living: a planted access gallery, inhabited landings, homes opened onto that common life. The project enters into dialogue with an existing building of strong character, and brings out the owned rawness of its materials.
The layout is entirely rethought around a sense of calm and comfort, so that the short-stay rental on the ground floor connects fluidly with the rest. In the living room, green ceramic stands as the key piece and holds a frank conversation with the pale woods chosen to invite rest and reunion.
At the heart of the home, the central island organises storage, resting corners and shared moments. Every element finds its place so the eye and the body can move freely, and so attention is carried toward the outside and the planted courtyard.
The central table, in raw marble and tropical wood, deliberately sets itself apart from the rest: a gesture that puts time spent with family at the centre of daily life.
