THE STUDIO

Built to a high bar. Amplified by technology. Grounded in the real. At Impulso an image does not merely depict the project: it is an active part of it, a design tool in its own right.

Too often images arrive too late, too fixed, too expensive, once the decisions have already been made. We build imagery that stays accessible, fast and calibrated at every stage, so that architects, designers and developers decide on images rather than in spite of them.

01

Quick to fit in

From Canada to Brazil by way of Paris, we slot into your working environment without disturbing it.

02

No wasted back-and-forth

By coming in early in your design process, we understand what is really at stake before producing the first image.

03

Versatile under any pressure

A tight competition, a last-minute render, a call that has to be made: our job is to give you room to breathe.

PHASE BY PHASE

An image is not asked the same thing depending on when it lands. Every phase has its own audience, its own level of finish, its own deadline.

COMPETITION STAGE

Carry the decision

The jury looks fast and compares. We hunt for the viewpoint that states the idea of the project in a single image, and we hold the render until the submission deadline.

PLANNING STAGE

Match the project as filed

Between the competition and the permit the geometry has moved. We rebuild the existing views on the current project, without starting over and without losing the atmosphere that won it.

DESIGN STAGES

Decide before it gets expensive

AVP, APD, PRO, DD: at every step there is a material, a height, a light to settle. We make the image that lets you weigh two options and choose with your eyes open.

THE TEAM

Behind the impulse.

Romain Legay, founder of Impulso, standing with his arms crossed, portrait

Impulso was born of an intuition, a question, an ambition that cannot yet be put into words.

It is not a starting point you erase once the project is under way. It is the raw material of everything that follows.

Impulso exists to turn that first impulse into something concrete: an image, a space, a project, a vision.

Behind Impulso there is Romain, who took his bachelor's degree at ENSA Paris-Belleville and trained as well in the lecture halls of UQAM in Montréal. Architecture, design, imagery, 3D representation: so many languages for giving an idea its form, not for dressing it up.

An image is not a render you show at the end. It is a tool you use along the way, to make the call, to convince, to move forward.

That conviction was forged on international work, alongside teams where every project meant moving fast, making the call, justifying every choice. Out of that demand came a method: a broad, multidisciplinary view, able to understand a need, to support it, and to give it the momentum to go further.
